Open-source licences

The open-source components JustMess is built from, and their licences.

JustMess and Pixel Garden are built using open-source libraries. Their authors allowed us to do so on condition that we keep the attribution and the licence text — which is what this page is for.

The list below is generated automatically at build time from the app’s actual dependencies, so it matches the exact version you are using.

1. What the list covers

It lists the components shipped in the application and running on the server: the web version, the mobile and desktop apps, the embedded game and both back-end services. Development and testing tools, which are never distributed to users, are not included.

Each entry gives the component name, version, licence type and the licence text. Where the author shipped no text, we show the official text of that licence — for licences that are a fixed document — and mark the entry accordingly. Where the licence text embeds a copyright line the author never stated, we say so plainly instead of substituting someone else’s.

2. How to obtain the source code

The source code of components distributed under the GPL, LGPL, MPL and similar licences is available at the project address shown in the entry. If you cannot obtain it there, write to justapp4u@gmail.com with “Source code” in the subject, giving the component name and version — we will provide a copy in machine-readable form within 30 days.

This applies to third-party components only. Our own JustMess code remains proprietary and is not covered by open-source licences unless expressly stated.

3. Fonts, icons and artwork

Fonts, icon sets and sounds are used under their own licences; those distributed as open source appear in the same list as the software components. Our own artwork, the 3D plant models and the visual design of the Service belong to us — see “Rights in the Service” in the Terms of Service.
